Leo, Tingting, Thomas, Amanda and I went to the Gathering Place in Tulsa yesterday. It is such a cool, beautiful and fun place. Paid for in all private funding, it is the best public park I have ever been in! The park is free to get into and took about 2 years to develop. There … Continue reading Awesome time at the Gathering Place
We made it safe and sound to the USA last night, and Leo got to meet his grandparents, aunt Marianne, and of course his big brother Thomas for the first time. 19 years apart, and everyone says they look-alike. Overall, Leo did such a great job on the flights. Our first flight was nearly 13 … Continue reading Brothers United!
It was such an amazing day. The weather was a perfect 24ºC (75ºF) and there was a constant yet soft drizzle of rain that was just enough to feel, but not enough to get you wet. So, I took the metro down to Laoximen Station where I walked through the anime market which seems to … Continue reading Beautiful day in Shanghai!
We came, we saw, we accomplished! Our rush to the embassy worked out great! We got our papers and I even got 25,000 steps in today as I explored Guangzhou on foot. I walked along the Zhujiang river, explored the Guangdong Museum, and did some luxury shopping at the IGC mall, though I bought nothing. … Continue reading 2 days, 1 night in Guangzhou

Tingting and I came to Guangzhou today. We have a bit of snag in our travel plans to the USA and we're hoping the US embassy here can help out. Otherwise, we took the evening and walked around our hotel tonight and enjoyed a bit of the local atmosphere. we found this old building / … Continue reading Guangzhou!

Tons of interesting spots such as a long public climbing wall with arches, retired shipping loaders that are converted into observation platforms, and much more. There's also a museum or three along … Continue reading Xuhui Binjiang, Shanghai ~ A beautiful and fun place for a family day out together
So today is New Year's eve in China, and I decided to go out and play tourist. It was drizzly with a lot of overcast and a bit chilly, but a beautiful day nonetheless. These are photos from the YuYuan Gardens in Shanghai.
Leo and Tingting are traveling in Hainan, enjoying the sun and warmth!
